    A visit to Road Canyon Reservoir Number 1 is always a good idea. All through the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Road Canyon Reservoir Number 1, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. During the winter highs are generally in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Road Canyon Reservoir Number 1 plunge into the-10's. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. But wait, there's  
   more fun stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. You can run the rapids of Lake Fork Gunnison River close to Road Canyon Reservoir Number 1, and camping is available at South Clear Creek Falls Campground.
At Road Canyon Reservoir Number 1 you don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. Go for a hike on the Middle Creek Stock Driveway,
 
               and a great site is House Canyon. Get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Rio Grande, and at Road Canyon Reservoir Number 1 you can spot Minnie Mountain.
So much entertaining stuff to do at Road Canyon Reservoir Number 1, so little time. You'll hit upon a delightful lake called Road Canyon Reservoir Number 2 near Road Canyon Reservoir Number 1; nearby you hit upon the Fern Creek Stock Driveway which is a magnificent hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. While you're here at Road Canyon Reservoir Number 1, you could also stop by picturesque Spring Creek Reservoir, and camping at Road Canyon Campground is always a nice experience.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Long Ridge Stock Driveway is always a good adventure, and Fairfield Pagosa Resort is a great location to get some rest.
