High temperatures at Roach Reservoir throughout the summer are in the 80's, and the night is a tad chillier of course, commonly in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Roach Reservoir are in the 0's. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. The Strawberry Trail is a nice hiking trail in the vicinity       of Roach Reservoir, and Pinyon Flats Campground is a tremendous campground nearby. You don’t have to go far from Roach Reservoir to make out the water at Roache Dam; lakes are such calm places, why not take a look at J M Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. On a pleasant day at Roach Reservoir you can take a hike along the Music Pass Trail, and the sights at Great Sand Dunes National Monument will blow your mind. Looking for some flowing water? Try South Bruff                  Creek, and you can stay the night at Cross D Bar Trout Ranch. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Beeman Reservoir is a nice lake near Roach Reservoir; if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Cascade Trail. Roach Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
