Iron Springs Hills is clearly visible from Richardson Pit, and a great location to stop at is Sheep Canyon. During the warm months here at Richardson Pit, high temperatures frequently get into the 90's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime       come with highs in the 40's while Richardson Pit nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are fine; Daniher Reservoir is a lake that's near Richardson Pit, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express LA JUNTA is a wonderful choice. The Iron Springs Hills casts its shadow over Richardson Pit.
