Relay Retaining Pond is a nice lake to visit. Horse Canyon is a nice location to pop by nearby, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hermosa Creek. East Fork Hermosa Creek is a stream that you may run into while here, and you can stay the night at Sig Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Relay Retaining Pond has to offer, you can camp at Purgatory

Go for a hike on the Highline Trail, and after a long day outdoors Cascade Village is a delightful place to spend a night or two. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Hermosa Park is a stunning site any time of year, and Animas River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by.

warm days of summer highs here at Relay Retaining Pond get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 30's. For the period of the winter the highs are regularly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to
Relay Retaining Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Telluride nearby, and nice hiking is available along the East Fork Trail.
