Go to Relay Retaining Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. Relay Retaining Pond is right by the Highline Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Animas River. This place, Relay Retaining Pond, it just has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Hatter Pond is a perfect lake in close proximity to Relay Retaining Pond, and the slopes of Silverton are so inviting nobody can resist. area. Get dripping wet paddling on Hermosa Creek, and a visit to Hermosa Park revives the soul. But wait, there's more to do close to Relay Retaining Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Relay Retaining
Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sig Creek Campground is a tremendous place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel. Near Relay Retaining Pond you hit upon Horse Canyon which is a brilliant
spot to visit, and there are other places here than Relay Retaining Pond, for example Hotter Brothers Lake.
