If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Regan Lake. Jarosa Mesa can be made out from Regan Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Lake Fork Gunnison River. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Regan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, River Fork Camper Park is a splendid place for that, and Regan Lake is right by the Rough       Creek Trail. During the warm days of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Regan Lake. Summer night lows drop down to the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Regan Lake temperatures dip to the-10's. So much entertaining stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, just amazing. While you're here at Regan Lake, you could also check out pretty Lake San Cristobal, and do take a hike                  on the Fern Creek Stock Driveway. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Rio Grande, and the Cebolla Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Regan Lake has to offer, you can camp at Slumgullion Pass Campground, and Rambouillet Park is a good place. At Regan Lake you don’t see much rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. And that's not all the things you can do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
