You can run the rapids of Kannah Creek in the vicinity of Reeder Reservoir, and do take a hike on the Indian Point Trail. There's whitewater on Kannah Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers; if you need a spot to stay Mesa View Motel is a perfect choice. Very scenic scenery and wonderful skiing is what you get at Powderhorn, and Reeder Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day       at, Grand Junction/Clifton KOA is a good local campground. Reeder Reservoir gets very little rain; October is the month that gets the most rain; January is the month with the least moisture. Do stop at Reeder Dam while you're here at Reeder Reservoir; camping at Big J RV Park is always a nice experience. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to run into some fine people from Grand Junction here, and some of the water nearby flows, like Juniata Ditch.                  Just can't get enough of Reeder Reservoir. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Spring Camp Trail, and Lazy S Arrow Motel is a good spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. This is a magnificent vicinity for folks who like lakes. Hallenbeck Reservoir is a lake in close proximity; hiking is a popular thing to do around Reeder Reservoir; Whitewater Basin Trail is a pleasant local trail. Summertime highs at Reeder Reservoir typically tend to be in the 90's, and the night is fairly cooler of course, frequently in the 60's.
