These mountains rock, just explore all the cool things to do in the Front Range. Not far from Red Rock Lake you obtain some glorious water scenery at Lefthand Park Dam, and going for a hike along the South Saint Vrain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. And if that's not enough, there's       a heap more to do next to Red Rock Lake. Everybody close by loves skiing at Winter Park, and Red Rock Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Mitchell Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground. You simply have to go for the Front Range. Whitewater paddling is nice on Boulder Creek, and hiking along the Waldrop North Trail is magnificent fun. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Rocky Mountain National Park is just something you need to do                  if you haven't yet, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop at Lefthand Park Reservoir. The skiing at Berthoud Pass is tremendous, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Sourdough Trail. It is very dehydrated here at Red Rock Lake ordinarily; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest of the months is February. For the period of the summer months highs here at Red Rock Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Red Rock Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling on Saint Vrain Creek - South, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Lodge At Nederland. A pretty lake like Left Hand Reservoir in close proximity to Red Rock Lake is a great site to explore. There's so much to do here at Red Rock Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pawnee Campground is a delightful spot for that.
