If only every spot had this much outdoors cool things, what a great world it would be. Take a hike on the Lowline Trail; Red Mountain is clearly visible from Red Mountain Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Red Mountain Lake, you'll locate Big Alkali Lake which is a charming lake, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always       go whitewater paddling on East River. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Onemile Cattle Trail; the snow is brilliant at Irwin Lodge. The Granite Basin Trail offers hiking at its best, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Gunnison River. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Red Mountain Lake, for example Lake Grant. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Red Mountain Lake has to offer, you can camp at Almont Campground.                  Summertime highs at Red Mountain Lake generally tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 30's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Red Mountain Lake. Red Mountain Lake is commonly a relatively dried out spot; December is the wettest month with most snow; June is when it's the driest.
