That right there is a lot of cool things already but it goes on, the Medicine Bow Mountains has it all. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Killpecker Trail; there are other places here than Red Feather Lake, for example Mitchell Lake Number 3. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Red Feather Lake. An exciting thing to explore close to Red Feather Lake is Nakomis Lake       Dam, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cache La Poudre River. There's great hiking along the Swamp Creek Cutoff Trail, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Cache La Poudre River. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Lake Ramona near Red Feather Lake, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Fox Acres Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Red Feather Lake is a nice location to visit                  for more than one day, Dowdy Lake - Arapaho National Forest is a nice location to camp nearby; dry warm beds await you at Fawn Valley Inn. Not much precipitation falls here at Red Feather Lake; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and January is the month with the least moisture. During the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 80's at Red Feather Lake while night lows are regularly in the 40's. All through the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Red Feather Lake. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Medicine Bow Mountains. The North Lone Pine Trail offers hiking at its best.
