Rawah Lake Number 3 is a beautiful lake in the Medicine Bow Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the McIntyre Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Not much rainfall falls here at Rawah Lake Number 3; all through May this area sees the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Grassy Pass is a great spot to go if you're at Rawah Lake Number 3; of course,

Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Rawah Lake Number 2, and get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Cache La Poudre River. The warmest time of the year at Rawah Lake Number 3 arrives

 | 15 miles away A very nice place to go camping, hiking and fishing. The reservoir has an astonishing breathtaking view, nothing like I have ever seen before, yes that beautiful! We went the weekend of July 10th, 2009 the weather during the day is very nice and sunny avg. temp about 75 degrees, the nights however are very cold, dipping into the low 40's and 30's, so be prepared for that, we came with too little of blankets and learned that to be a big mistake. Long draw is located about 15 mi. inland from Hwy 14 just past Chambers, driving into the reservoir looks deceitful because it seems as though you are traveling into the thick of the forest with nothing but trees around, but be patient 15 mi. in you will discover the camp ground, enjoy!... |
