Do stop by Rainbow Reservoir while you're in this part of Colorado. At Rainbow Reservoir through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Rainbow Reservoir descend into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. During your visit to Rainbow Reservoir you'll meet some folks from Colorado Springs for sure;

| | Shining Mountain Golf Club is a golf course nearby. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Front Range. Lakes are wonderful; Sapphire Lake is a lake that's next to Rainbow Reservoir; the Schubarth Trail is a good hiking trail nearby.

trail. If you haven’t been to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, you have to schedule some time for it if you're here, and if you feel like a little side trip, try Ensign Gulch.
This place, the Front Range, has so much
outdoors fun things. Dry warm beds await you at Country Lodge; camping is available at Promontory Campground. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Woodland Park Reservoir; going for a hike
on the Stanley Canyon Trail is always a glorious adventure. Rainbow Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Front Range.
This lake is so wonderful. A perfect place to camp here at Rainbow Reservoir is Springdale Campground, and if
you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Rainbow Dam. Not much rain falls here at Rainbow Reservoir; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is when it's the driest.
