Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Summit County/Frisco, Co; on a great day you can take a hike along the Lily Pad Lake Trail. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Rainbow Lake is peerless!       It's a glorious idea to check out Meadow Creek, it's in the vicinity of Rainbow Lake, and why not stop at Frisco Bay also since you're here. For you golfers we recommend close by Breckenridge Golf Club, and Gold Pan Campground is a fine local campground. Whitewater paddling is great on Arkansas River. The slopes of Breckenridge are so inviting nobody can resist, and the Miners Creek Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful.                  In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tenmile Creek; lots of people from Silverthorne come here. A picturesque lake like Bills Ranch Lake right next door to Rainbow Lake is a nice place to stop at, and Rainbow Lake is a pleasant location to visit for more than one day, Pine Cove Campground is a pleasant location to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Ophir Mountain is clearly visible from Rainbow Lake; if you need a location to stay Frisco Lodge Bed And Breakfast is a great choice. At Rainbow Lake you don’t see much precipitation; July is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All through the warm months, highs regularly are in the 70's at Rainbow Lake with nighttime lows in the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Rainbow Lake temperatures sink to the 0's.
