Summertime highs at Rainbow Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 30's. Near Rainbow Lake you stumble on the Ceran Vrain Trail
which is a great hiking trail, and on a gorgeous day you obtain a great vista of Kenny Mountain from Rainbow Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There is a good hiking trail right next door to Rainbow Lake called the Bright Trail, and
you can run the rapids of Saint Vrain Creek - South. So much cool stuff in the neighborhood of Rainbow Lake, definitely impressive. Do pay a visit to Rocky Mountain National Park while you're here at Rainbow Lake, as expected you
could also explore Meadow Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.
All year is a great time in the Front Range if you love the outdoors. There's whitewater on Saint Vrain Creek - North for all you adrenaline rush seekers; a nice
spot like Johnny Park here at Rainbow Lake is too great to miss. This lake is located in the wonderful Front Range. On a pleasant day at Rainbow Lake you can take a hike along the North Sheep Mountain Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Park Place Camping Resort is a great spot to camp.
