This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the warm months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Rainbow Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while Rainbow Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. Rainbow Lake is not the only       spot nearby, Anderson Reservoir is a nearby lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Rainbow Lake; Bailey Lake Trail is a splendid local trail. Rainbow Lake is a location that is relatively waterless mostly; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. You don’t have to go far from Rainbow Lake to make out the water at Lake of the Woods Dam, and Shepherds Rim Campground is a fine campground                  nearby. White River - North Fork has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by, and if you've had enough of Rainbow Lake, Lake of the Woods is close by. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area in the vicinity of Rainbow Lake has to offer. Himes Peak Campground is a pleasant local campground; Bessies Falls is an inspiring location to explore while here. This lake is so wonderful.
