If you are in Eagle county it's always a good idea to stop by Rainbow Lake. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll adore Rainbow Lake. Dry warm beds await you at The Pines Lodge; there are other places here than Rainbow Lake, for example Middle Lake. What would winter be without some skiing at Vail; close by you come across the Lake Creek Trail which is a nice hiking trail. So many enjoyable things to do here at Rainbow Lake, too perfect to be true.

| | Having a delightful time in the Sawatch Range is painless. The slopes of Beaver Creek are so inviting noone can resist; Fulford Cave Campground is a tremendous local campground. Paddling on Eagle River is so much fun, and Rainbow Lake is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Yeoman Park Campground is a perfect place to camp nearby. commonly in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Rainbow Lake sink into the 0's.
But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Sawatch
Range. If you're a golfer then a glorious close by course is Beaver Creek Golf Course, and not far from Rainbow Lake you'll discover Boot Lake which is a stunning lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Sawatch Range. Whitewater
paddling is splendid on Eagle River, and going for a hike on the Lake Charles Trail is always a delightful adventure.
This lake is so wonderful. The New York Mountain Trail is a nice hiking trail close to Rainbow Lake; after a
long day outdoors Hyatt Mountain Lodge is a good place to spend a night or two. Rainbow Lake is a location that is rather dried out mostly; July is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake
is so wonderful. Some nearby water includes Middle Lake Creek, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Edwards here.

Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir. We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection. After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests. A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir. It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well. We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum.... |
