What a nice lake Rainbow Lake is. Throughout the summertime months here at Rainbow Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and night lows during the winter for Rainbow Lake tend to be in the 10's. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is plentiful here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Rainbow

| | Lake; Cotton Trail is a great local trail, and from Rainbow Lake you obtain a good panorama of Baldy Peak. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Bighorn Rv Park is a good campground nearby, and dry warm beds await you at AppleLodge Bed And Breakfast.
Don't leave Rainbow Lake without first going for a hike along the Rainbow Trail, and Lake Creek Campground is a splendid local campground. Rainbow | |

Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. It is very dry here at Rainbow Lake regularly; during August this area sees the most rain; January is when it's the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is
available along the Crossover Trail; there's always Balman Dam to pop by close to Rainbow Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Arkansas River for all you adrenaline kick people, and not far from Rainbow Lake you'll
discover Balman Reservoir which is a beautiful lake.
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Arkansas River; there are other places here than Rainbow Lake, for example Banjo Lake.
