Do stop by Rainbow Lake while you're in this part of Colorado. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Sawatch Range. I'm havin' a great time here at Rainbow Lake. Near Rainbow Lake you find the Horn Fork Trail which is a great hiking trail, and it's a delightful idea to go to Hughes Creek.
Buena Vista Super 8 Motel is a nice location to get
some rest, and the snow is good at Monarch. For the duration of the long summer days, highs typically are in the 70's at Rainbow Lake, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. Throughout the wintertime highs are
mostly in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Rainbow Lake temperatures plunge to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. There are perfect spots to discover along the Harvard Trail, and if you come at the right
time of year, Arkansas River offers some fine whitewater.
This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Arkansas River, and Sheep Mountain is pretty and can be seen from here. Rainbow Lake is one of the lakes here
in the Sawatch Range. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Rainbow Lake.
