Cade Mountain is good. Not far from Quien Sabe Lake, you'll discover Beaver Lake which is a charming lake, and there's great hiking along the Martinez Creek Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the magnificent
whitewater of San Juan River; a fine location for whitewater paddling is San Juan River. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Quien Sabe Lake with nighttime lows in the 30's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Quien Sabe Lake.

The take out after Mesa Canyon is where Trujillo Rd gets close to the river on R Left @ 37. 125988°, -107. 051072°

San Juan River - East Fork

I am a very close relative of the land owners for a significant portion of the East Fork. There is a couple of miles of river that is private land. Using the river or the land without authorization is tresspassing and is illegal. I am by no means giving you permission to use it. I am simply stating the facts. Please respect the property line and stay on public lands. Other than that enjoy your time in CO and happy rafting.... |
