Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. The top of Nipple Mountain is easily seen from Quartz Lake, and Holiday Inn Express Pagosa Springs, Co is a glorious place to get some rest. Not much precipitation falls here at Quartz Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain while June is       generally the driest month. Just can't get enough of Quartz Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Oak Ridge Lodge, and get covered with water paddling on San Juan River - East Fork. Quartz Lake is right by the Little Blanco Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Wolf Creek. Quartz Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. For the duration of the summertime highs here at Quartz Lake get into the 80's. During the moonlight hours                  it's frequently in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Quartz Lake are in the 0's. Quartz Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, West Fork Campground is a great local campground; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Blanco River Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
