This lake is so wonderful. Primero Reservoir is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Cawthon RV Park and Motel is a brilliant local campground. There's so much to do here at Primero Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Budget Summit Inn is a delightful location for that. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Primero Reservoir is pretty dry typically; July is       the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn Trinidad is a nice place to spend a night or two; a wonderful location is Cordova Canyon. For the duration of the days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Primero Reservoir, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's; overnight lows in the 10's for Primero Reservoir.                  All the outdoors entertaining things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains will keep you coming back time and again.
