Price Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Hiking along the Ute Trail is pleasant fun; Sweetwater Creek is a good whitewater spot nearby. Nearby lakes? Sure, Castle Creek Ponds is in the vicinity of Price Reservoir, and do take a hike on the South Derby Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Express Eagle, Co is a perfect place to get some rest; if you came for an overnight stay River Dance RV Resort is a perfect location

Anderson Camps LTD is a nice local campground, and Price Reservoir is right by the High Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not check out Price Dam if you're here. After a long day outdoors Americinn - Eagle, Co is a fine place to spend a night or two; a delightful place for whitewater paddling is Colorado River.

highs here at Price Reservoir get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Price Reservoir.

I fished last year and am coming back next week to fish again. It is very nice to fish from a boat or bank, but I prefer boat....Wife and I where fishing Stagecoach, then we heard of Yamcolo, it was about 20 mins out of Yampa. We came around the corner of the earthen dam side, looked down the fish where jumpin all over the place grabbed the poles and it was off to the rodoe,15 fish as fast as we could 45min past sorry did not have camera going back this year in couple of weeks can't wait New Castle Colo, Apple Tree Park... |

Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir. We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection. After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests. A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir. It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well. We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum.... |
