Brooks Creek flows through this area, and there's magnificent hiking along the V Rock Trail. Price Lakes gets very little rain; most of the rain falls during August; June on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The Fish Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and on a beautiful day you obtain a fine vista of Navajo Peak from Price Lakes. This lake is       so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Chama, and you might also want to pay a visit to Weisel Canyon if you're here at Price Lakes. That right there is lots of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has it all. Blanco River Campground is a good campground nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Branding Iron Motel. If you need a spot to stay Best Western                  Jicarilla Inn & Casino is a good choice. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Bull Elk Pond, and Navajo River is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. Don't leave Price Lakes without first going for a hike along the Leche Creek Trail, and naturally, this is a glorious area for people who like lakes, Dolomite Lake is a lake close at hand. Summer at Price Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Price Lakes temperatures drop to the 0's. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
