Why not go to Prewitt Dam if you're here, and almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Emmerson Lake is just a very short distance away. At Prewitt Reservoir you don’t see much rain; May is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the summertime months       here at Prewitt Reservoir, high temperatures typically get into the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Prewitt Reservoir dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
