This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Scout Lake is in the vicinity of Potato Lake, and you get a great sight of Coal Bank Hill from here. This lake is so wonderful. There's delightful hiking along the Deer Park Trail, and whitewater paddling is nice on Lime Creek. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Potato Lake. Go for a hike on the Highline Trail, and a pleasant nearby hotel is Purgatory Lodge by Durango Mountain Resorts.

| | Summertime highs at Potato Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and the night is quite colder of course, typically in the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's while Potato Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. and paddling on Animas River is so much fun. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Kendall Mountain is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood; you're almost certainly interested in lakes, Boyce Lake
is one of those close by. Just can't get enough of the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Camping at Purgatory Campground is always a glorious experience, and don't forget to take a perfect little spree to Crater Creek. If you need a site to stay Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel is a tremendous choice.
