Do stop by Potato Lake while you're in this part of Colorado. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Potato Lake; Highline Trail is a nice local trail; you can stay the night at Lime Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Potato Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Purgatory Campground is a wonderful place for that; whitewater paddling is glorious on
