Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. You can take a little trip to Portland Dam if you're here at Portland Reservoir; there are some good whitewater spots on Grape Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Brush Hollow Reservoir is close by. High temperatures at Portland Reservoir throughout the summertime are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of       the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Portland Reservoir. There is a tremendous hiking trail in the neighborhood of Portland Reservoir called the Rudolph Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here at Portland Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Floyd's RV Park is a glorious place for that. This lake is so wonderful. The Sheeley Trail is a good hiking trail next to Portland Reservoir, and Portland                  Reservoir is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Haggard's RV Campground is a fine local campground. If the weather is good here at Portland Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Mineral-Stevens Trail; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Florence. If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Canon City, Co is a splendid choice; do pop by Bear Creek if you're here at Portland Reservoir. There are other spots here than Portland Reservoir, for example Florence City Water Reservoirs, and lots of folks from Canon City come here.
