    Why not stop by Porphyry Lake if you're passing through these parts. Hit the slopes at Silverton close by; the summit of Ingram Peak can be seen from Porphyry Lake. Take a hike on the Brooklyn Trail, and Chattanooga Hot Spring is a charming location to visit while you're at Porphyry Lake. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Bridal Veil Dam is a wonderful spot close to Porphyry Lake, and camping is available at Molas  
   Lake Park.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Weehawken Pack Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and in the vicinity of Porphyry Lake you locate a golf course called Telluride Ski & Golf Club. Porphyry Lake is a beautiful lake in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Telluride has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff, and after a long day outdoors Camels Garden is a good spot to spend
 
               a night or two.
There are other sites here than Porphyry Lake, for example Blue Lake, and hiking along the Greyhound Pack Trail is glorious fun. Summertime highs at Porphyry Lake generally tend to be in the 70's while night lows are typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Porphyry Lake are in the 10's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Porphyry Lake. A delightful place to camp here at Porphyry Lake is South Mineral Campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Lime Creek.
Having a tremendous time in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains is painless. Don’t forget to explore Bridal Veil Basin while you're here at Porphyry Lake, and Ice House Lodge is a perfect location to get some rest. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Porphyry Lake. Get dripping wet paddling on Mineral Creek - South. Porphyry Lake is mostly a rather waterless spot; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most, and June on the other hand is the driest.
