The beauty of Pomeroy Lake is reason enough to stop by. If you haven’t been to Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park, you have to schedule some time for it while you're here, and as expected, this is a good region for folks who like lakes, Billings Lake is a lake around here. Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. If the weather is fine here at Pomeroy Lake, you can go for a hike along the Fooses Creek Trail. There's so much to do

| | here at Pomeroy Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Middle Quartz Campground is a great location for that. Pomeroy Lake is a location that is rather dry generally; most of the rain falls during August, and June is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. Chrysolite Mountain is clearly visible from Pomeroy Lake, and the Browns Creek Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. The Sawatch Range scenery is always beautiful. So many | |

cool things to do here in the Sawatch Range, too wonderful to be true. Dry warm beds await you at Buena Vista Super 8 Motel; you can run the rapids of Arkansas River.
During the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 70's
at Pomeroy Lake; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Pomeroy Lake temperatures plunge to the-20's. This lake is so wonderful.
Lakes are magnificent; North Fork Reservoir is a lake that's near Pomeroy Lake. If only every site had this much outdoors cool things, what a great planet it would be. There is a fine hiking trail close to Pomeroy Lake called the
Pitkin Stock Driveway, and Pomeroy Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Garfield Campground is a wonderful local campground.
If you need a location to stay Best Western Vista Inn is a good choice; Monarch is a delightful local ski area.
