This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Cattail Creek Golf Course; going for a hike on the Round Mountain Trail is always a delightful adventure. High temperatures at Poison Lake all through the summertime are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are typically in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Poison Lake during the       wintertime commonly plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Crosier Mountain Trail. There are good locations to discover along the Jug Trail; there's whitewater on Big Thompson River for all you adrenaline junkies. If you came for an overnight stay Carter Valley Campgrounds is a great site to camp, and if you need a spot to stay La Quinta Inn & Suites Loveland is a good choice. There are other places here than Poison Lake, for example                  Lon Hagler Reservoir, and Quality Inn Loveland is a great place to get some rest. Fireside Camper Park is a glorious local campground; Carter Lake Reservoir is a glorious lake close by. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Poison Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Big Thompson River, and Poison Lake is a spot with many visitors from Fort Collins-Loveland.
