     The beauty of Poison Lake attracts many people from all around. Poison Lake is mostly a pretty dried out spot; the month with most of the rain is May; January meanwhile is the driest month. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Poison Lake get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 40's while Poison Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. There's  
   whitewater on Big Thompson River for all you adrenaline kick people. Lakes are splendid; Lon Hagler Reservoir is a lake that's next to Poison Lake.
A golf course in the vicinity of Poison Lake is Cattail Creek Golf Course, and do take a hike on the Crosier Mountain Trail. Poison Lake is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, Carter Valley Campgrounds is a nice spot to camp nearby, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by
 
               nearby Flatiron Reservoir. La Quinta Inn & Suites Loveland is a fine place to get some rest; hiking is a popular thing to do around Poison Lake; Round Mountain Trail is a perfect local trail.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn Loveland is a good place to spend a night or two, and get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Big Thompson River. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Jug Trail. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Poison Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Poison Lake has to offer, you can camp at Fireside Camper Park, and if you're visiting from Fort Collins-Loveland, you won't be the only one.
