Pointer Lake is a nice lake to visit. Very brilliant water scenery is available at Rito Hondo Dam near Pointer Lake, and Matterhorn Motel is a tremendous place to get some rest. Just can't get enough of Pointer Lake. If the weather is pleasant here at Pointer Lake, you can go for a hike along the Cebolla Trail, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lake Fork Gunnison River. | | there's a heap more entertaining things to do in the San Juan Mountains. Lakes are such calm sites, why not stop at Rito Hondo Reservoir close to Pointer Lake, and Rio Grande is a good whitewater spot nearby.
Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the San Juan Mountains. There is a delightful hiking trail close to Pointer Lake called the Long Ridge Stock Driveway, and why not take a little tour to Corral Creek | |

if you're here. Pointer Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Pointer Lake that you need to camp here for a while, South Clear Creek Falls Campground is a good
location for that, and if you need a place to stay Silver Spur Motel is a great choice.
This lake is so wonderful. The Rough Creek Trail is a great hiking trail near Pointer Lake, and a short tour to North Clear Creek Falls is
always worthwhile. Pointer Lake is a location that is rather dried up regularly; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February.
While you're here at Pointer Lake it's a
delightful idea to stop at North Clear Creek Park, and Pointer Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, North Clear Creek Campground is a delightful local campground. Summertime highs at Pointer Lake commonly tend to
be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Pointer Lake.
