After a long day outdoors Red Bear Inn is a nice location to spend a night or two, and do take a hike on the Lake Fork Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Chinook Smokehouse & Gifts is a tremendous choice; at Platoro Reservoir you can catch a glimpse of Forest King Mountain. During the summertime at Platoro Reservoir temperatures are       ordinarily in the 60's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Platoro Reservoir overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing stuff to do in the San Juan Mountains. Mix Lake Campground is a great campground here, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Bear Lake Trail. Platoro Reservoir beyond doubt is in the                  middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Conejos River; a tremendous place nearby is Sawmill Gulch. You just must like the San Juan Mountains. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Platoro Dam, and needless to say, this is a magnificent area for folks who like lakes, Big Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. The San Juan Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Hiking along the San Juan Stock Driveway is splendid fun, and you can stay the night at Stunner Campground.
