A visit to Placid Lake is always a good idea. Placid Lake is a beautiful lake in the Front Range. Summer at Placid Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Placid Lake are in the 0's. If time allows, Rocky Mountain National Park is a national park worth visiting, and unsurprisingly Beaver Brook flows through this area.

| | Placid Lake gets very little rain; August is the wettest month with most rain, and November is when it's the driest. If you came for an overnight stay Blue Arrow Campground is a nice site to camp, and going for a hike on the Cow Creek Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Saint Vrain Creek - North, and close by you find the Deer Mountain Trail which is a great | |

hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Evergreens On Fall River is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and there's whitewater on Cache La Poudre River - South Fork for all you adrenaline kick people. Now, you may think
that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Placid Lake. Camping at Placid Lake is great fun, Elk Meadow Lodge and RV Resort is a great local campground; a great close by hotel is RiverStone Resorts-BearPaw Ste. Yeah,
come up here to the Front Range for a good time. At Placid Lake you can observe Castle Mountain; Estes Valley Recreation District Estes Park Golf Club is a golf course nearby. Be careful coming to the Front Range, you might not
ever want to go back home again. Since you're here at Placid Lake why not explore Black Canyon, and the North Deer Mountain Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. Interesting geology is available here; The Needles is near Placid Lake.
