Pitkin Lake is one of the lakes here in the Park Range. Pitkin Lake is a location that is relatively dried out mostly; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Park Range. Gore Creek Campground is a nice campground nearby; get wet paddling on Gore Creek. High temperatures at Pitkin Lake       through the summertime months are in the 70's; the nighttime is a little cooler of course, generally in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Pitkin Lake all through the wintertime mostly drop into the 0's. Just can't get enough of Pitkin Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Spider is a peak you can spot from Pitkin Lake; since you're here you can play some golf at Vail Golf Club. Not enough hours in a day                  to enjoy the Park Range. You'll meet a lot of folks from Silverthorne here; nearby you come across the Deluge Lake Trail which is a great hiking trail. Going for a hike on the Slate Creek Trail is always a nice adventure, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Blue River. There are tremendous locations to look at along the Lost Lake Trail, and great skiing awaits you at Vail. If you need a place to stay Manor Vail Resort and Conference Center is a great choice, and dry warm beds await you at Vail Racquet Club Condominiums. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Pitkin Lake. Pitkin Lake is not the only place nearby, Booth Lake is a nearby lake, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Copper Mountain. This lake is so wonderful.
