Camping is available at Maroon Lake Campground, and Heckert Pass is a great location to spend some time. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Pierre Lakes. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Pierre Lakes. Hiking along the Blue Creek Trail is wonderful       fun; dry warm beds await you at Laurelwood Condominiums. Pierre Lakes is pretty waterless regularly; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. If you came for an overnight stay East Maroon Portal Campground is a great spot to camp; get dripping wet paddling on Crystal River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Trail Riders Trail, and glide down the rapids of Crystal River in a                  kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Capitol Lake is close by, and if you need a site to stay Wildwood Lodge is a perfect choice. If the weather is delightful, you acquire a delightful panorama of Capitol Peak from Pierre Lakes, and picturesque scenery and perfect skiing is what you get at Irwin Lodge.
