The beauty of Pettingell Lake is reason enough to stop by. Just can't get enough of the Front Range. Visiting Rocky Mountain National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and do put some time aside to spend at Cascade Falls while you're here at Pettingell Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Fraser River; not far from Pettingell Lake you'll discover Bench Lake which

| | is a wonderful lake. High temperatures at Pettingell Lake through the days of summer are in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Pettingell Lake.

since you're here, you could have a look at Hallett Creek. At Pettingell Lake you don’t see much rainfall; through August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
And that's
not all the things you can do here in the Front Range. While you're here at Pettingell Lake you can take a hike along the North Inlet Trail, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Cache La Poudre River. Dry warm beds await
you at Bighorn Lodge, and a delightful place to camp here at Pettingell Lake is Elk Creek Campground and RV Park. After a long day outdoors Inn At Grand Lake, The is a pleasant location to spend a night or two; scenic scenery and
glorious skiing is what you get at SolVista.
This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Berthoud Pass, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Lake Nanita Trail. There's just no way someone
can get bored here at Pettingell Lake. The East Inlet Trail is a great hiking trail right next door to Pettingell Lake, and Mount Cairns is clearly visible from Pettingell Lake. Pettingell Lake is a beautiful lake in the Front Range.
