If you are in Pitkin county it's always a good idea to stop by Perry Pond. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Perry Pond. There's brilliant hiking along the Sunset Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Carbondale-Days Inn. If you came to camp McClure Campground is a delightful location to do that; soar down the rapids of Crystal River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Perry Pond without first going for a hike along the Hammond Trail, and Perry Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Meri-daes RV Park and General Store is a great local campground.
