     After a long day outdoors Keyah Grande Resort is a perfect location to spend a night or two, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Fourmile Stock Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A glorious nearby hotel is Fairfield Pagosa Resort; Perino Reservoir is a great site to visit for more than one day, Turkey Springs Campground is a great site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Martinez  
   Creek Trail; if you desire a little side journey, try Roush Draw.
Nearby lakes? Sure, Dunnagan Reservoir is in the vicinity of Perino Reservoir, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Mud Spring. Perino Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. You could also stop by Park Reservoir while you're here at Perino Reservoir; it's nearby, and
 
               Dunnagan Dam has good water scenery.
If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Perino Reservoir. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Perino Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Happy Camper RV Park, and hey, Gotta ski right? Wolf Creek is a splendid spot to do that. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Juan River. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a great close by course is Pagosa Springs Golf Club, and going for a hike on the Piedra Stock Trail is always a splendid adventure.
Through the summertime months at Perino Reservoir highs are generally in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Perino Reservoir temperatures plunge to the-10's. Not much rainfall falls here at Perino Reservoir; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest.

I am a guide on the San Juan here and wanted to correct the info about this run. The put in is behind a place called malt shoppe and the Lat/Long of it is: 37. 269902°, -107. 001559°

The take out after Mesa Canyon is where Trujillo Rd gets close to the river on R Left @ 37. 125988°, -107. 051072°

These are the closest Public put in & take out to the Lat/Long given on the site. Happy Raftin!...
