    In Colorado there are many beautiful lakes, Peggy Lake is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Steamboat is glorious, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Peggy Lake; Red Dirt Pass Trail is a glorious local trail. Peggy Lake is located in the Park Range. Man, is there a load of cool stuff to do in the Park Range. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Peggy Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lakeside Campground, and the Fryingpan  
   Trail offers hiking at its best.
This lake is so wonderful. Flattop Mountain is painless to spot from Peggy Lake, and since you're here at Peggy Lake it's a great idea to go to Fryingpan Basin. So many cool things to do here in the Park Range, too pleasant to be true. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend North Platte River; swamps are exciting spots and Swamp Park close to Peggy Lake is no exception.

               not all you can do here at Peggy Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Elk River offers some great whitewater, and you can stay the night at Helena Campground. You'll discover a gorgeous lake called Blue Lake near Peggy Lake; Peggy Lake is right by the Twin Lake Trail. At Peggy Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Peggy Lake are in the 10's.
Peggy Lake gets very little precipitation; the month of April is the wettest with most of the rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
