    Do stop by Peeler Lakes while you're in this part of Colorado. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Slate River, and you can stay the night at Avery Peak Campground. This lake is so wonderful. You get a tremendous panorama of Mount Baldy from Peeler Lakes. Do set aside some time for Paradise Basin since you're here at Peeler Lakes, and Daisy Creek is a glorious whitewater spot nearby.

   along the Trail Riders Trail is perfect fun; a pleasant location is Poverty Gulch. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Peeler Lakes get into the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Peeler Lakes. While you're here at Peeler Lakes you can take a hike along the Lowline Trail, and after a long day outdoors Eagle's Nest is a great place  
               to spend a night or two.
What would winter be without some skiing at Irwin Lodge; dry warm beds await you at The Grand Lodge Crested Butte Hotel & Suites. Peeler Lakes is pretty dehydrated generally; August is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Munsey Ruby Stock Driveway. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Peeler Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Crested Butte Mountain Resort.
