     Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Pear Lake is peerless!. Pear Lake is right by the Deer Park Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Canyon Creek. This lake is so wonderful. New York Creek flows through this area, and hey, Gotta ski right? Kendall Mountain is a glorious location to do that.
You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you need a place to stay Purgatory
 
   Lodge by Durango Mountain Resorts is a good choice. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Pear Lake has to offer, you can camp at Bear Creek Campground. Interesting geology is available here; Overlook Point is near Pear Lake; the slopes of Silverton are so inviting nobody can resist. And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining stuff just keep reading. Get soaked paddling on Animas River, and Lime Mesa is clearly visible from Pear Lake.
 
               There's so much to do here at Pear Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lime Creek Campground is a pleasant place for that, and the Whitehead Trail offers hiking at its best. Around Pear Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is August, and June meanwhile is the driest month. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Pear Lake reach the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Pear Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Do have a look at Webb Lake close to Pear Lake, it's a picturesque lake, and do take a hike on the Highline Trail. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. That right there is heaps of fun things already but it goes on, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has it all. Ruby Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and after a long day outdoors Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel is a delightful location to spend a night or two.
