here you can take a hike along the Granite Basin Trail. It is very arid here at Peanut Lake ordinarily; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. Not
far from Peanut Lake you get some great water scenery at Lake Brennand Dam, and Oh Be Joyful Creek is a glorious whitewater spot nearby. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Irwin Lodge if you're here, and do take
a hike on the Trail Riders Trail. Through the summertime months, highs typically are in the 70's at Peanut Lake. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Peanut Lake dip into the-10's.
