Paxton Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Paxton Reservoir, you'll locate Hofmann Reservoir which is a wonderful lake, and a great place for whitewater paddling is San Miguel River. Going for a hike on the Spring Creek Trail is always a splendid adventure. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of folks from Montrose here at Paxton Reservoir;       there are nice places to discover along the Paradox Road. So many exciting things to do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, too nice to be true. Don't leave Paxton Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Dry Creek Trail, and Johnson Spring is a magnificent local attraction. Paxton Reservoir gets very little rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
