Paxton Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. Paxton Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Paxton Reservoir, you'll locate Hofmann Reservoir which is a wonderful lake, and a great place for whitewater paddling is San Miguel River. Going for a hike on the Spring Creek Trail is always a splendid adventure. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of folks from Montrose here at Paxton Reservoir;

Don't leave Paxton Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Dry Creek Trail, and Johnson Spring is a magnificent local attraction.
