This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Paradox Road, and Paxton Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, The Hanging Tree RV Park is a great local campground. Having a glorious time in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains is uncomplicated. Nearby lakes? Sure, Hofmann Reservoir is near Paxton Reservoir, and camping at Hangin Tree RV is always a great experience. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here

the 90's, and the nighttime is a bit colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. During the winter highs are usually in the 30's with temperatures at Paxton Reservoir dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. You just can't
imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains has to offer. Telluride is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and Paxton Dam is an interesting thing to check out. This lake is so wonderful.
Paxton Reservoir is right by the Spring Creek Trail, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Uncompahgre River. Paxton Reservoir is located in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. You could also go to Horse Pasture Reservoir
if you're here at Paxton Reservoir; it's nearby. There are plenty of people from Montrose here at Paxton Reservoir; hiking along the Dry Creek Trail is glorious fun. Paxton Reservoir is usually a reasonably dry site; most of the rain falls all through July while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
