You absolutely have to fancy the Front Range. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do near Pawnee Lake. Pawnee Pass is a good place to spend some time at; a lake close by is Mirror Lake. There are some great whitewater spots on Boulder Creek, and close by you find the Buchanan Pass Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. After a long day outdoors Sawmill Station is a glorious spot to spend a night       or two, and camping is available at Pawnee Lake Campground. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Winter Park is in the vicinity of Pawnee Lake, and the Cascade Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Summertime at Pawnee Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. Highs all through the wintertime are commonly in the 20's with temperatures at Pawnee Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter                  nights. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Front Range. Best Western Lodge At Nederland is a brilliant place to get some rest, obviously you could also stop at Triangle Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Pawnee Lake is one of the lakes here in the Front Range. These mountains rock, just explore all the exciting stuff to do in the Front Range. There's whitewater on Boulder Creek - South for all you adrenaline people, and there is a splendid hiking trail nearby called the Isabelle Glacier Trail. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great globe it would be. A day on the slopes of Berthoud Pass is just what you need; don't leave Pawnee Lake without first checking out Fair Glacier. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Crater Lake Campground is a brilliant place to camp, and Pawnee Lake lays in the shadow of the Indian Peaks. Not much precipitation falls here at Pawnee Lake; most of the rain falls throughout August while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
