This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at K O A Kampgrounds, and if you need a spot to stay Durango/Purgatory Super 8 Motel is a wonderful choice. At Pastorius Reservoir through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 30's, and overnight lows through the winter for Pastorius Reservoir tend to be in the 0's.       This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. A day on the slopes of Hesperus Ski Center is just what you need. The snow is great at Durango, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn & Suites. Pastorius Reservoir is pretty dried up ordinarily; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while June is typically the driest month. A tremendous location to camp here at Pastorius Reservoir is Durango East KOA, and why not spend some time                  golfing at a close by golf course like Hillcrest Golf Club.
