You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Browns Creek Trail, and Pass Creek Lake is not the only place close by, Lake O'Haver is a close by lake. Pass Creek Lake is usually a pretty waterless spot; the month with most of the rain is August; June is when it's the driest. All through the months of summer here at Pass Creek Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's with nighttime lows in the 30's. All

Pass Creek Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sawatch Range. A lake close by is Fooses Lake, and a great nearby hotel is Aspen Leaf Lodge. At Pass Creek Lake you can distinguish Chipeta Mountain, and Monarch is a great local ski area.

Monarch Mountain is what you expect from a real Colorado ski area. Abundant natural snow (350+ inches) and friendly people are two of our strongest attributes. You can walk from your car right to the lifts, prices are reasonable, and the runs flow naturally back to the base area. At Monarch you'll lose the crowds but not your friends.
Monarch is a family favorite because of great snow conditions and easy access to the mountain. Having one base area makes it convenient to drop off the little ones in the Children's Center, pick-up rental equipment, sign up for ski school and get on the slopes in a timely manner. Lift lines are a rarity and you will regularly find ski runs to yourself.
