So many enjoyable things to do in the Front Range, not enough time. Why not check out nearby Wilson Creek since you're here at Park Center L and W Number 5 Reservoir; you can go for a hike on the Stultz Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Park Center L and W Number 5 Reservoir, you'll stumble on Ott Reservoir which is a beautiful lake; Park Center L and W       Number 5 Reservoir is a delightful site to visit for more than one day, Royal Gorge/Canon City KOA is a delightful site to camp nearby. Through the days of summer at Park Center L and W Number 5 Reservoir highs are mostly in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Park Center L and W Number 5 Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon                  playing golf at Shadow Hills Golf Club is always a delight, and get soaked paddling on Grape Creek. While you're here at Park Center L and W Number 5 Reservoir you will meet lots of folks from nearby Canon City, and paddling on Arkansas River is so much fun. The views at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument will blow your mind, and a great close by hotel is Best Western Royal Gorge Motel. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Park Center L and W Number 5 Reservoir. Don't leave Park Center L and W Number 5 Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Sheeley Trail, and Royal View Campground is a brilliant local campground. Lakes? Sure, Lone Tree Reservoir is close by. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Front Range.
