The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Papoose Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Papoose Lake. Good hiking is available along the Bailey Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Papoose Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hill Creek Campground and Trailhead       is a magnificent spot for that. Quality Inn & Suites is a tremendous place to get some rest, and there are other places here than Papoose Lake, for example Clam Lake. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area near Papoose Lake has to offer. A great place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Papoose Lake is White River - South Fork, and you can go for a hike on the Fayville Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful                  nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn New Castle; everybody loves Johnson Park. Going for a hike on the Oyster Lake Trail is always a delightful adventure. Not much rain falls here at Papoose Lake; October is when you get the most rain here, and January is the month with the least moisture.
