Do go to Wilbur Lake in close proximity to Papoose Lake, it's a beautiful lake; there is a good hiking trail close by called the Oyster Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you go for the outdoors, you'll adore Papoose Lake. You'll locate a wonderful lake called Clam Lake near Papoose Lake,       and don’t forget to have a look at Johnson Park if you're here at Papoose Lake. Through the summer months, highs usually are in the 80's at Papoose Lake while overnight lows are generally in the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Papoose Lake drop into the 0's. At Papoose Lake you don’t see much rainfall; October is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month                  of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Bailey Lake Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and get yourself into a kayak and hit White River - North Fork. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and if you come at the right time of year, White River - South Fork offers some nice whitewater.
