     Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites On The River, and if you came for an overnight stay Hill Creek Campground and Trailhead is a magnificent site to camp. Do go to Wilbur Lake in close proximity to Papoose Lake, it's a beautiful lake; there is a good hiking trail close by called the Oyster Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you go for the outdoors, you'll adore Papoose Lake. You'll locate a wonderful lake called Clam Lake near Papoose Lake,  
   and don’t forget to have a look at Johnson Park if you're here at Papoose Lake.
Through the summer months, highs usually are in the 80's at Papoose Lake while overnight lows are generally in the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Papoose Lake drop into the 0's. At Papoose Lake you don’t see much rainfall; October is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month
 
               of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Bailey Lake Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and get yourself into a kayak and hit White River - North Fork.
After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and if you come at the right time of year, White River - South Fork offers some nice whitewater. Near Papoose Lake you stumble on the Fayville Trail which is a perfect hiking trail, and Marvine Creek Campground is a good local campground.

Jet lake is also located in the Flat Tops wilderness area so no vehicles allowed but is only about a 15 to 20 minute hike to the lake (an easy pretty flat hike) then about another 15 minute hike into shadow lake , about 15 mor into blair lake and about 15 more into crater lake.
Elk lakes are located about 5 minutes from the wilderness area only 1/2 mile to the parking for jet lakes....

Meadow lake was my Dada Idea, there is a great campground, easy road up the flat tops wilderness area to get there great for a one day fishing trip or camping, lots of family reunions held there, Great place to take little ones, and all around beautiful area...

located at the foot of Blair Mountain Adams Lake is well worth the trip. Definatly a 4 wheel drive Jeep Trail but only a few miles from Elk lakes, Jet lake, Shadow Lake, Blair lakes , Crater Lake, Deep lake and bison lake. Lots of Cut throat trout, rainbows and browns. Most deffinatly more than a one day trip. Always plan for all kinds of weather, and definitely tent camping only....
