It's always fun to stop by Papoose Lake. At Papoose Lake during the summer months highs are in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Papoose Lake. Yeah, come here to Papoose Lake for a good time. Camping is available at Purgatory Campground; hey, Gotta ski right? Kendall Mountain is a brilliant site to do that. Needles Townhome

The San Juan Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is plentiful here in the San Juan Mountains. Near Papoose Lake you find the Circle Trail which is a great hiking trail, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Canyon Creek. Why not camp at Haviland Lake Campground if you're here at Papoose Lake, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Silverton.

Cascade Creek since you're here at Papoose Lake, and going for a hike on the Goodhope Stock Driveway is always a tremendous adventure. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Cascade Village is a great place to spend
a night or two; lots of folks from Durango come here. A common amount of rain falls here at Papoose Lake; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest month of the year is June.
This lake is so wonderful. Aspaas Lake
is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and the Highline Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the San Juan Mountains. Lake of the Pines Dam is beautiful and it's near Papoose Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Animas River.
