Palmer Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. At Palmer Reservoir during the summertime months highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Palmer Reservoir dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. While you're here at Palmer Reservoir you can take a hike along the Waldo Canyon Trail, and there's always Nichols Dam to stop at near Palmer Reservoir. Just can't get enough of

| | the Front Range. There is a tremendous hiking trail near Palmer Reservoir called the Stanley Canyon Trail, and if you need a location to stay The Cliff House Hotel at Pikes Peak is a great choice.

At Palmer Reservoir you always meet someone from Colorado Springs; if you came for an overnight stay Lone Duck Campground is a nice place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument
is a national park worth going to, and Best Value Inn Villa Motel is a tremendous location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
At Palmer Reservoir you don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is January.
