There are some good whitewater spots on Colorado River, and Hillside Spring is a good local attraction. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Grizzly Creek, and the skiing at Sunlight Mountain is perfect. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Why not camp at Klines Folly Campground while you're here at Palmer Lake, and Hot Springs Lodge & Pool is a nice location       to get some rest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Palmer Lake; Oyster Lake Trail is a great local trail, and after a long day outdoors Hotel Colorado is a good location to spend a night or two. There are other places here than Palmer Lake, for example Bowen Lake, and while you're here, you could explore South Grizzly Creek. Palmer Lake is a location that is rather dried up usually; of all the months in a year October is the one with the most rain;                  the driest month of the year is February. If you came for an overnight stay Supply Basin Campground is a pleasant place to camp. Throughout the summer months, highs generally are in the 80's at Palmer Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's.
