    It's always fun to stop by Palisade Lakes. Palisade Lakes is one of the lakes here in the San Juan Mountains. Man, is there lots of enjoyable things to do in the San Juan Mountains. Stay the night at Cimarrona Campground, and if you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Pagosa Springs is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful.
You absolutely should go for the San Juan Mountains. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling
 
   on Piedra River, and a day on the slopes of Wolf Creek is just what you need. A spree to Palisade Lakes wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Divide Park Springs, and you can go for a hike on the Martinez Creek Trail. Through the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Palisade Lakes. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 30's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Palisade Lakes dipping down into the-10's through winter  
               nights.
Good hiking is available along the Fourmile Stock Trail, and a magnificent spot for whitewater paddling is Rio Grande. Man, is there a lot of entertaining stuff to do close to Palisade Lakes. Middle Fork Hunter Campground is a good campground here; going for a hike on the Fern Creek Stock Driveway is always a delightful adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Pagosa Resort; what would a site like Palisade Lakes be without attention-grabbing close by features like Castle Rock.
Palisade Lakes is a location that is pretty dry ordinarily; July is the wettest month with most rain while June is ordinarily the driest month.
